Naruto Shippuuden 053 : It's like having sex without climaxing

Summarize the past 10 over episodes into 10 words or less
Basically, the past 10 over episodes is beautifully summarized by Jiraiya into less than 2 minutes to a still-bedridden Kakashi. I somehow wished I hadn't gone through the constipated chest banging by the Kyuubi for 4 episodes; Orochimaru puking himself out over and over again; the soap opera-ish "Sasuke!!! Why!! We're friends!! Don't you remember!! ~~Return to your kind self!!" (Opps that was from Shurato.)~~ Return to Konoha!!". I would have settled for sitting beside Kakashi in his hospital bed to listen to Jiraiya's summary anytime.

If you want Jiraiya to summarize the entire arc further into 10 words or less, it is "Sasuke's gotten pretty powerful. Naruto was no match for him." That is really about it. (Javier's description of this arc in 10 words or less is: 'It's like having sex without climaxing'. Yes, these are his words. If you need to, go give him grief. Don't flame me.)

That anti-climatic ending...
After all the hair I tore out while watching the slow-mo pacing and everybody glaring at each each for the past few episodes; all in the hope of getting some kick ass action between Sasuke and Team Kakashi, all we got was the 3 bad guys burning away (hopefully, into oblivion). The audience must be going "Huh.. That's it??" followed by the flurry of questions like "so what exactly was the jutsu Sasuke was going to use???", "Why didn't Yamato go beat him up!!" and "did they rehearse to synchronize that flashy exit or what..."

Naruto was weak, weak, weak. And he was crying!! Gah! At least he knows he's weak now. And they actually needed Sai to cheer them up.

After which, everybody goes home, and Naruto asks Sakura out on a date... Considering how he was crying over Sasuke not too long ago, he sure got over it in a hurry when he realized his rival isn't coming back and he can have Sakura all to himself.

Sai communes with himself
I actually liked that part. Perhaps it was due to the nice soundtrack resonating at the back when Sai attempts to draw a picture about friends with an uninterpretable smile amidst the backdrop of gloomy paintings. The art direction of his solitude broken not unpleasantly by Team Kakashi waving him to the next mission gives me hope that the next arc will have a better rhythm.
